Universe not fine-tuned for life

If "God" had wanted to maximise the chance of the Universe producing life he would have made the cosmological constant slightly negative, not positive as in fact it is.

  1. If 'God' had seen what man has done over the last 2k years in particular he would have removed the ozone layer much faster.

  2. Interesting. There was an article in New Scientist a few years back about some models that suggested that varying just one constant made the universe less suitable for life, but varying two or more often resulted in islands of stability where complex chemical reactions occurred and would have time to evolve.
